**SMTP authentication** ensures that only authorized users can send emails through your website, improving security and preventing unauthorized email use.

To ensure that

* your website is able to send emails to either yourself as the administrator or to customers who make reservations,
* as well as ensuring that the Contact form is working properly
the following steps must be taken:

## STEP 1

The initial step is to choose the email address you want to use for sending emails to your Booking Customers.

We recommend [**bookings@your-domain.com**](mailto:bookings@your-domain.com)

Alternatively, you can choose any other e.g. [**reservations@your-domain.com**](mailto:reservations@your-domain.com) or [**info@your-domain.com**](mailto:info@your-domain.com)

## STEP 2

Contact your **Hosting Provider's** Support and submit the following request.

* *create the email account* [*bookings@your-domain.com*](mailto:bookings@your-domain.com)

*SMTP host*

*SMTP password*

*Yours sincerely*

(Remember to replace [bookings@your-domain.com](mailto:bookings@your-domain.com) with the email you chose in STEP 1 and [*https://your-domain.com*](https://your-domain.com) with your website URL).
