This fee is a set amount and is automatically added to the total cost of the stay. The short-stay cleaning fee allows a host to specify a fee for cleaning only if the stay is less than a certain number of days. This fee is automatically added to the total cost of the stay that is less than the specified number of days. To set cleaning fee go to [Rate Management](https://app.hosthub.com/z/rate-management), select your rental, press **Edit** and add the amount that you want to apply in the **Cleaning Fee** field. This fee is usually a set amount and is automatically added to the total cost of the stay. * **Expedia:** Log in to the Expedia Partner Center, open your listing, go to the fees/pricing settings, and add or edit the cleaning fee. * **Google Hotels:** Log in to your Google Hotels / Google Business Profile dashboard, open your property listing, go to the pricing/fees section, and add or edit the cleaning fee. Hosthub still syncs your base nightly rates to these channels, but channel-specific fees like cleaning are configured inside each channel. After entering the cleaning fee in Hosthub, remember to click **Publish** to save the change. If you use PriceLabs for your rates, still change the cleaning fee in Hosthub (not in PriceLabs). PriceLabs only sends net base nightly rates into Hosthub, so updating the cleaning fee in Hosthub will not affect your PriceLabs-set nightly rates. **Who can change it:** The cleaning fee cannot be changed by an invited member. It must be modified by the admin user of the main Hosthub account. ### Linen Fee The linen fee allows a host to specify a flat fee for the use of linens for a stay. This fee is usually a set amount and is automatically added to the total cost of the stay. The security deposit helps cover any potential damages that may occur during the stay. A security deposit is also a preventive measure designed to ensure property safety and quality, as it is not charged unless damages are reported, further serving as a policy-based financial safeguard for hosts. The security deposit set in Hosthub cannot be charged using the Airbnb payment system. It can be paid only offline with a direct payment to the host. In that case the deposit requirements will be clearly communicated during the booking process in Airbnb. See [this article](https://www.airbnb.com/help/article/140?locale=en) for more details ### Pet Fee The pet fee allows a host to specify an amount that is charged for the stay of a pet. This fee is a set amount and is automatically added to the total cost of the stay. To set a pet fee go to [Rate Management](https://app.hosthub.com/z/rate-management), select your rental, press **Edit** and add the amount that you want to apply in the **Pet fee** field.Before adding pet fees in Hosthub, ensure that pets are allowed in Airbnb's policies by navigating to "Policies and Rules" on your Airbnb listing and updating the settings. This fee can be a fixed or percentage amount, and is automatically added to the total cost of the stay. ### Management Fee The management fee allows a host to specify a flat fee for the management of the property for a stay. This fee can be a fixed or percentage amount, and is automatically added to the total cost of the stay. ### Community Fee The community fee allows a host to specify a flat fee for the use of recreational facilities and services in a gated community for a stay. Resort, management and community fees can be a fixed or percentage amount, and are automatically added to the total cost of the stay. This discount is a set percentage and is automatically subtracted from the total cost of the stay. To set a weekly and/or a monthly discount go to [Rate Management](https://app.hosthub.com/z/rate-management), select your rental, press **Edit** and add the discount percentage that you want to apply in the respective f || **Important — Airbnb longer-stay discount rule:** Airbnb requires that discounts increase (or stay equal) the longer the stay. A discount for a longer period must be greater than or equal to the discount for a shorter period. For example, if the weekly (7-night) discount is 10%, a custom discount for 5 nights cannot be higher (e.g. 12% would be rejected), and a custom 14-night discount must be greater than or equal to the weekly discount. If your discounts are not ordered this way, Airbnb returns the error "Your longer stay discount must be greater than or equal to your shorter stay discount" and syncing with Airbnb is paused for that rental. To fix it, adjust your discount percentages so they grow (or stay equal) as the stay length increases — e.g. 5 nights ≤ weekly (7 nights) ≤ 14 nights ≤ monthly. This discount is a set percentage and is automatically subtracted from the total cost of the stay. To set a weekly and/or a monthly discount go to [Rate Management](https://app.hosthub.com/z/rate-management), select your rental, and press **Discount for other stays** button. You will be directed to the custom discounts page, from there you can again select your rental and add a set of discounts per length of stay according to your preferences. The last minute discount feature allows a host to specify a percentage discount off the total cost of a stay if the reservation is booked less than a certain number of days before the stay. Both discounts are set as a percentage and are automatically subtracted from the total cost of the stay. To set an early bird and/or a last minute discount go to [Rate Management](https://app.hosthub.com/z/rate-management), select your rental, press **Edit** and add the percentages and days before the stay for each discount that you want to apply in the respective fields. Misconfigurations can lead to unexpected changes such as discount removal or greyed-out fields. ## Why Do Airbnb Discounts Get Removed or Overridden? If you notice that your discounts for weekly, monthly, or early bookings on Airbnb are being removed or overridden, this may be due to how Hosthub interacts with Airbnb. Hosthub’s Rate Management system allows you to centrally set discounts and fees. When you set fees and discounts directly on Airbnb, they will be overwritten by the settings in Hosthub.To avoid this, configure your discounts accurately in Hosthub's Rate Management under the channel-specific settings for Airbnb. This ensures that your preferences are pushed to Airbnb, preventing any discrepancies caused by manual adjustments made directly on Airbnb.**Source:** ## Why Are Certain Fields Like Discounts Greyed Out in Hosthub? Certain fields, such as Airbnb’s weekly and monthly discounts, might be greyed out within Hosthub. This happens because these fields are managed through a third-party platform. Hosthub integrates rates, discounts, and restrictions from third-party platform and applies channel-specific fees before pushing the final configuration to Airbnb and other platforms.To edit such fields, access your third-party platform account, adjust rates and discounts there, and allow the integration to automatically update your Hosthub settings. This structure ensures consistency and simplifies management across multiple booking platforms.
