Monthly Climate Crisis Resilience Fee Email Report

If you manage properties in Greece, you are required to file a monthly Climate Crisis Resilience Fee statement with the Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE). To help you stay compliant, avoid fines, and save time on manual calculations, Hosthub has introduced an automated monthly reminder and data summary.

How It Works

If you have active rentals in Greece and hold Taxes -> View permissions in your Hosthub account, you don't need to manually calculate your monthly nights anymore.

  • Automated Delivery: On the 2nd day of every month, Hosthub will automatically send you an email titled "Hosthub - Climate Crisis Resilience Fee Issuance for [Previous Month]".

  • Ready-to-Use Data: The email contains a clear summary table detailing the aggregate number of billable nights for the previous month, broken down by your specific rental categories (e.g., Short term rentals 2,00€ - 8,00€) and by rental. It breaks down the total nights, nights from channel bookings, and offline booking nights.

  • Direct AADE Link: A button is included at the bottom of the email to take you directly to the correct AADE portal (in English or Greek, depending on your language settings) so you can immediately file your statement.

  • Property Count Validation: The email also lists the total number of rentals included in the data, making it easy for you to spot any missing properties at a glance.

Understanding the Calculations

To ensure your declaration is perfectly accurate for the AADE, Hosthub calculates the nights using the following logic:

  • Strict Monthly Boundaries: The system only counts nights that physically occurred within the previous month (from 00:00:00 on Day 1 to 23:59:59 on the last day).

  • Cross-Month Bookings: If a booking spans across two months, it is automatically split. For example, if a guest stays from October 20th to November 10th, the November 2nd email will only count the nights that fell strictly in October. The November nights will be reported in your December 2nd email.

Prerequisites: What You Need to Do

To ensure you receive accurate data in your monthly emails, you must configure your properties correctly in Hosthub:

  1. Set Your Climate Tax Tiers: You must map your internal climate tax tiers in Hosthub to match the official AADE categories (e.g., setting a property to the "Short term rental 2,00€ - 8,00€" tier). If this is not set, the system cannot accurately group your nights.

  2. Enable the Monthly climate resilience fee report email notifications in your Settings

Important Notes & Limitations

  • We do not auto-submit to AADE: This feature provides you with the exact data you need, but you or your accountant must still log into the AADE portal to officially submit the declaration.

  • We calculate nights, not monetary value: Because the actual fee per night can vary based on external factors (like specific seasonality rules applied by the government), Hosthub provides the exact number of nights. You will use this number to calculate the final monetary tax in the AADE system.
