A comprehensive guide on metrics and stats

Hosthub reporting and statistics provide in-depth insights into your hosting business performance. This guide will walk you through each section of the new reports, explaining the metrics and how to use them to your advantage.

All statistics can be found in the Reports section of the app. Reports are structures with the following sections.

Aggregated Metrics

The top section of your Reports dashboard gives you an overview of your key performance indicators (KPIs) for the selected date range:

  • Revenue: Total gross income generated from bookings including fees and taxes.

  • Total Booking Value: The total booking value excluding fees and taxes.

  • Total payout: The total amount you received after fees and deductions.

  • Occupancy Rate: The percentage of time your properties were booked during the selected period.

  • Average Daily Rate (ADR): The average nightly price guests paid for your properties.

  • Revenue Per Available Room (RevPAR): A measure of your revenue performance, calculated by multiplying ADR by occupancy rate.

  • Total Bookings: The total number of reservations made.

  • Total Nights Blocked: The total number of nights your properties were unavailable due to being blocked.

  • Average Nights Per Stay: The average length of each guest's stay.

  • Average Booking Lead Time: The average number of days between when a guest booked and their check-in date.

  • Cancellation Rate: The percentage of bookings that were canceled.

  • Manager Fee: The total amount of fees paid to a property manager (if applicable).

Historic and Trend Financial Data

This section presents graphs showing the monthly progression of your financial metrics over time. You can choose to view:

  • Revenue: Total booking costs.

  • Booking Value: The amount guests paid before fees and taxes.

  • Cleaning Fee: Income from cleaning fees.

  • Other Fees: Income from any additional fees you charge.

  • Taxes Collected on platform: The total tax amount collected from guests.

  • Taxes Paid to Government: The total tax amount paid to the government.

  • Guest Paid: The total amount paid by guests.

  • Service Fee (Guest): The service fee paid by guests.

  • Service Fee (Host): The service fee deducted from your payout.

  • Total Payout: The total amount you received after all fees and deductions.

  • Manager Fee: The fees paid to a property manager.

Historic and Trend Performance Data

This section, provides insights into your property performance over time:

  • Total Bookings: Number of reservations.

  • Total Nights Booked: Total nights reserved by guests.

  • Total Nights Blocked: Total nights properties were unavailable.

  • % Blocked Nights: Percentage of nights unavailable due to being blocked.

Profit and Loss Per Month

This table gives a detailed breakdown of your monthly profit and loss. It includes income, expenses, and the resulting profit or loss for each month.

The profit is calculated as Total payout minus any recorded expenses.

Financial Data Per Channel

See how your revenue and other financial metrics break down across different booking channels (e.g., your website, Airbnb, Booking.com). This helps you understand which channels are most profitable.

Filtering

All metrics can be displayed for a specific date range which can be selected in the filters section.

All historic and trend graphs provide a comparison of the selected period's data to the same previous period.

Also the metrics and statistics can be reported for a specific set of rentals and for bookings from specific channels. All can be set in the Rentals and Channels filters.
