Guest Information on Hosthub
At Hosthub, we understand the importance of having accurate and up-to-date guest information. That's why we have made it easy for hosts to manage and modify guest information on our platform.
Guest information is synced from channels, also known as Online Travel Agencies (OTAs). This means that any changes made to guest information on these channels will automatically be updated on Hosthub. However, hosts also have the ability to modify guest information directly on our platform.
Hosthub provides tools to manage guest contact details for both manual (offline) bookings and platform-integrated bookings. For manual reservations, guest contact details must be entered manually during booking creation, while for platform-integrated bookings, these details are typically synced automatically from the connected platforms.
What is included in guest information?
Guest information includes the following details:
Name
Surname
Email
Phone number
Address
Street
Street number
City
Postal code
Country
Language
Identification type
Identification number
Having all of this information readily available allows hosts to provide a personalized and seamless experience for their guests.
Viewing and editing guest information
Guest information is fetched from the channels and can be viewed in the booking details page. Hosts can add, update or modify the guest information in the booking edit view. If specific guest details such as Tax Identification Number (AFM) or passport numbers are needed, hosts will need to manually request this information. This can be done via direct email communications or by including these requests within booking confirmation messages. Additionally, for improved efficiency, hosts can utilize automated methods such as digital forms to securely gather these details.
For platform-integrated bookings, guest contact details like email addresses are typically included in the booking information. To locate a guest’s email address in Hosthub, open the reservation, navigate to the "Booking details" section, and check for the email address listed there. For manual bookings, ensure that contact details are entered during the booking creation process.
Identifying known/repeating guests
At Hosthub, we want to make the booking process as easy as possible for both hosts and guests. That's why we have implemented a feature that identifies known, repeating guests.
When a guest's information is modified, Hosthub will automatically identify if the guest already exists in our database. If so, their information will be updated accordingly and will be synced across all bookings with the same guest. This saves time for both hosts and guests, as there is no need to re-enter information that has already been provided.
We hope this article has helped you understand how guest information is managed on Hosthub. If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to our support team.

Managing Different Booking Types
