Rentals availability filter in Multi-Calendar

This feature to the multi-calendar view makes it easier than ever to identify and book rentals that are open for a specific date range. This is especially helpful for handling offline booking inquiries (like those coming in via phone calls), and it's also a handy tool for setting prices based on availability.

How It Works

  • Navigate to the Hosthub multi-calendar view.
  • Look for the new filter button located next to the "Display X Months" button.

  • Enable the Display only rentals with free dates filter
  • Set Your Date Range

The multi-calendar will automatically update to show only the rentals that are available for the entire selected date range. The selected dates will be highlighted for easy reference.

If you've also entered a search term, the results will show rentals that are BOTH available for the dates AND match the search term.

Booking: Once you've identified an available rental, you can easily create an offline booking through your usual process.

Pricing: Use this availability information to strategically adjust your pricing based on demand for the selected period.

Additional Tips

  • Resetting the Filter: To return to the full list of rentals or adjust the filter, simply disable the "Display only rentals with free dates:" option or clear the search term. The calendar will automatically reset to today's date.
  • One Month Maximum: The date range selector is limited to a maximum range of one month for faster filtering.

Troubleshooting Multi-Calendar Display Issues

Some rentals or room numbers are missing: In the Multi-Calendar, click Change, make sure all rentals are selected, then apply the filter. If only some rentals are selected, the rest will appear to have disappeared.

Team members not seeing certain rentals: Team members only see the rentals assigned to them. If access was removed, the admin needs to re-assign those rentals for them to appear.

Rentals show on desktop but not on mobile: Hosthub has no separate native mobile app; you use the mobile web version in your browser. Clear the cache and cookies of your mobile browser, then reopen Hosthub.

Rental names/numbers no longer displayed after recent updates: Recent layout changes and the introduction of the Groups feature affected how rental names appear. Use the Rental Groups feature to group your properties under a common parent name and rename the child rentals with their number (e.g. Apt 1, Apt 2) for a clearer view. The previous multi-calendar view is also available again, so if Rental Groups doesn't suit you, you can switch back to the old version.

Calendar shows fewer months than expected: The month range shown is indicated at the top of the calendar. Use the arrow to move the range forward (e.g. from May–June–July to June–July–August).

Property titles are too small / hard to read: Increase your browser zoom by holding Ctrl and pressing +. For clearer organization when many properties share the same title prefix, use Rental Groups to group them under a common parent name and simplify the individual rental names.
