Hosthub’s Multicalendar allows property managers and agencies to block dates for one or several rentals in a single, streamlined action. This feature is designed to improve efficiency for users managing single properties or larger portfolios, making it easy to update availability and create holds on any number of calendars at once.

How Blocking Works

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Select Properties: In the Multicalendar view, drag and select a date period for one or more rentals.

  2. Click the “Block Dates” action: A form will appear allowing you to enter block details (reason, notes, etc.).

  3. Submit: After filling in the block data, submit the form. Hosthub will create a hold event for the selected rental(s):

  4. For a single property, only that calendar is updated.

  5. For multiple properties, identical hold events are created for all selected rentals.

What Happens Next?

Success: All selected rentals (single or multiple) will show the new block/hold in their calendars.

Validation Error: If any selected rental cannot be blocked (e.g., dates already booked), the block operation fails for all selected properties.

Actions Available for Selected Properties

When you select one or more rentals in the Multicalendar, you can perform all standard calendar actions as single or bulk operations:

  • Block dates

  • Change rates

  • Create booking

This means you can manage your rentals, without switching context or repeating actions for each rental.

Limitations

Atomicity: Bulk block actions are “all or nothing”—if one property cannot be blocked, the entire operation fails (no partial blocks).

No Bulk Reservations: Bulk booking creation for reservations is not supported—only holds/blocks.
