What are the refund policies and processes for Hosthub services?
Hosthub Refund Policies and Processes
Understanding the refund policies and processes for Hosthub services can help you manage your account effectively. Below, we outline the key aspects of refund eligibility, processing timelines, and special scenarios.
Refund Eligibility
Hosthub offers refunds under specific conditions:
- 14-Day Refund Policy: Refunds are available within 14 days of the initial payment for both monthly and annual subscriptions. This policy applies to first-time payments and upgrades from trial plans.
- Annual Subscriptions: Refunds for annual plans are only eligible within the 14-day window. Beyond this period, refunds are not guaranteed and may be offered as a discretionary gesture.
- Unused Services: Refunds are not provided for unused months or services paid in advance. However, for annual plans, the remaining balance can be transferred as credit to another property under the same account.
How to Request a Refund
To request a refund for a recent charge:
- Cancel your account first: Go to https://app.hosthub.com/settings, click Manage My Account at the bottom of the page, then click Cancel and lose access. You must complete cancellation yourself, as Hosthub cannot process cancellations on your behalf per the Terms of Service. Pausing an account also results in cancellation.
- Contact support with your refund request, specifying the charge amount and date.
- Provide your bank details if the refund is issued by bank transfer (e.g., for compensation payouts). Required details: Amount, Bank Name, Country, Account number, IBAN, Name, Email, routing number, and Billing address.
Refund requests are handled by the billing team based in Greece, available Monday to Friday during business hours (CET).
Disputed Charges
If you have already disputed the charge with your bank, Hosthub cannot issue an immediate refund. The payment processor requires Hosthub to contest disputes related to potential fraud, which can take up to 60 days to resolve. Withdrawing the dispute allows Hosthub to issue the refund immediately.
Refund Processing Timelines
Once a refund request is approved, the processing times are as follows:
- Refunds typically take 5-10 business days to appear on your bank statement, depending on your bank.
- A receipt confirming the refund will be sent to your registered email address.
- In cases where a third-party payment processor is involved, a small deduction (e.g., $9) may apply, which is beyond Hosthub’s control.
Special Scenarios
- Cancellation and Refunds: To initiate a refund for a canceled account, the account must first be paused. If not reactivated within a few hours, the account will be fully canceled, and the refund request will be processed.
- Upgrades from Trial Plans: If you upgrade from a trial to an annual plan and cancel within 14 days, you are eligible for a refund.
Policy Exceptions and Discretionary Refunds
Hosthub’s Terms of Service state that refunds beyond the 14-day window are not required. However, in some cases, refunds may be offered as a goodwill gesture. These exceptions are at the discretion of the billing team and are not guaranteed. For further assistance or to check the status of your refund, please contact Hosthub’s support team.
