What Happens to My Hosthub Account If There Are Payment Issues or I Need to Reactivate It?

Managing your Hosthub account during payment issues or reactivation scenarios can raise questions about service continuity and billing policies. Below, we address these common concerns to help you navigate such situations effectively.

Service Continuity During Payment Issues

If a payment fails due to an issue with your connected card or other reasons, your Hosthub account access will not be immediately interrupted. Hosthub provides a grace period during which you can resolve the payment issue. You will also receive a notification in the form of a prominent alert on your dashboard, giving you the opportunity to address the problem before any automatic actions are taken on your account.

Billing and Payment Policies

Hosthub charges continue as long as your account has an active rental. If you are not actively using your account but still have active rentals, you will be billed until you cancel your account through the standard cancellation process. This ensures that your account remains operational and ready for use unless explicitly canceled.

Account Reactivation Steps

If your account becomes inactive after a payment, you may need to manually reactivate it. This can be done through your account settings or the reactivation flow available in the Hosthub app or website. Look for a “Reactivate” option and follow the prompts to complete the process. This ensures that your account is fully restored and operational.

Pausing and Reactivating When a Property Is Temporarily Unavailable

If your property is temporarily out of service (for example, under construction or being rebuilt) and there is no channel to sync, you can pause your Hosthub account instead of canceling it. You can pause your account from the pause confirmation page at https://app.hosthub.com/settings/pause-confirmation.

When your property is ready to rent out again, simply log back in to your Hosthub account and click the Reactivate button. We also recommend reaching out to our support team when you're ready to sync your property again, so we can help you complete the process.

Notifications and Alerts for Payment Failures

Hosthub prioritizes keeping you informed about any payment issues. If a payment fails, you will see a clear notification on your dashboard, allowing you to take timely action to resolve the issue. This proactive approach helps prevent unexpected service interruptions. By understanding these policies and processes, you can ensure uninterrupted access to your Hosthub account and manage any payment-related issues effectively.
