I only operate my rental for a few months each year. Can I get a discount?

Yes, we have an ''Off-season'' mode.

But first, something important: Even if you only rent your home for a few months (e.g. during the summer) you are getting bookings all year long, and that’s when you need your calendars synchronized! That means that it’s just as important to have synchronized calendars during your off-season, as it is during your high season.

That said, here’s what we can offer:

If you are certain that there will not receive any new bookings on your calendar for a few months, then you can switch any of your rentals to “off-season” mode and only pay $3 per rental per month. In off-season mode, everything works as before, and as soon as you get your first activity event on your calendar we will automatically switch you to your normal plan. You can switch back to “off-season” if you like, but you can only do this twice in one calendar year. This two-time limit is applicable on a rolling 12-month basis, meaning if you try to enable off-season mode a third time within the same year, the system will prevent the action. Additionally, if your property switches back to the regular subscription mode after receiving a booking in off-season, the switch will count toward the annual two-switch limit. Off-season mode can only be enabled after the free trial has ended and at least one month of a standard subscription has been paid.

Step-by-Step Instructions to Enable Off-Season Mode

Follow these steps to activate off-season mode for your property:

  1. Log in to your Hosthub account.

  2. Navigate to the SETUP section and select Rentals.

  3. Click on the rental property you want to modify.

  4. Go to the Other Actions tab and select Manage Subscription.

  5. Choose the option to Switch to Off-Season Mode, and confirm your selection.

Additional Manual Calendar Management

Before activating off-season mode, it is advisable to manually block dates on your property’s calendar to avoid accidental bookings during the off-season. This ensures that your property remains unavailable for rental during periods of inactivity.

Automatic Reactivation

Hosthub’s off-season mode is designed for convenience. If a booking is received while off-season mode is active, your rental will automatically revert to the standard subscription plan without requiring manual updates. Additionally, if a property remains in off-season mode but receives a booking, the system automatically adjusts the billing to reflect the change seamlessly, ensuring you don't need to manually update subscription settings.

To activate the “off-season” mode, you can now use the self-service option available in your Hosthub account's billing section by following the provided instructions.

Account-Level Plans and Off-Season Mode

Enabling off-season mode for a property is specific to individual rentals and does not affect your overall account-level subscription plan, such as the PRO plan. This means account integrations like invoicing systems (e.g., Oxygen integration) remain unaffected, enabling flexibility in managing individual properties without disrupting your account's broader functionalities.

Self-service activation is now available directly in the billing section of your Hosthub account, providing a more convenient way to manage your subscription. This feature ensures that property managers can easily switch their rental properties to off-season mode or back to normal seamlessly, aligning with their operational needs. 😊 Additionally, if you wish to permanently delete a property, you must first disable off-season mode before proceeding.
